How does
Microneedling feel?
The skin is numbed using a numbing agent. During the quick 30 minute treatment patient’s typically feel pressure and a buzzing sensation, with minimal discomfort.
How does Microneedling work?
- Fine needles are used to create micro-channels in the skin that then remodel the skin.
- The micro needles pierce the skin, increasing blood flow.
- Micro wounds are created producing multiple new skin cells to replace damaged ones, collagen and elastin fibers then start to form, this stage builds a fresh foundation of skin tissue, giving it improved elasticity and strength.
- There is then significant improvement on the appearance of acne scars, facial and neck wrinkles
What to expect after treatment?
- Most patient’s have slight redness, which looks like and feels like a mild sunburn.
- Some people will experience dryness, tightness and flaking skin.
- This usually subsides in about 72 hours and is completely normal.
- Make up and sunscreen can be applied 24 hours after treatment.
When will I see
my results?
