What is Hand Filler?
Hand filler is small injections of dermal filler such as Restylane® Lyft, Juvéderm® , Radiesse® , SkinVive™, or Contour® , injected to restore volume loss.
These fillers are made of hyaluronic acid or calcium hydroxylapatite (Radiesse®), provide collagen production and hydration, resulting in plumper, more youthful, smoother texture.
As we get older, the skin on our hands becomes thinner, and veins, tendons, and bones appear more prominent. Fillers provide collagen production, hydration, and volume restoration.
Average recovery 7 – 10 days. Lasts around 12 months.
How to prepare for a hand filler treatment?
For treatments at our Temecula & Murrieta practice, it is recommended to avoid blood thinners 2 weeks prior to these injections.
These include aspirin, alcohol, Advil®, naproxen, Aleve®, Motrin®, fish oil, omegas, to minimize the risk of bruising.
What to expect with hand filler?
The procedure takes about 30 minutes. There may be some minor swelling, bruising, but these are temporary and resolve within a few days.
